South Moon Under currently operates 31 stores in the mid-Atlantic area, VA, MD, PA, DE, NJ, CT, AL, and GA in addition to an E-commerce site. Our home base is located in Annapolis, MD.

Associate Manager, Production & Digital Marketing

We are current seeking an Associate Manger, Production & Digital Marketing to assist in leading major and minor projects relating to site content and features that translate to the core functionality on website. Lead production efforts on the site to facilitate content, technical, creative and promotional initiatives for the website. Lead implementation and strategy for best in class SEO site optimization and site search. Assist in developing strategy for UX experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Update, QA and publish all site content based on marketing handoff to ensure seamless web site updates including but not limited to home page, dropdowns, special landing pages, store locator and seasonal navigation updates. Facilitate QA process across cross-functional groups. Test website before and after deployment to production environments
  • Responsible for set up and accurate execution of all daily/weekly/monthly promotions, markdowns and codes. Test website before and after deployment to production environments. Oversee updating of fine print to ensure exclusions and details are up to date
  • Develop and execute SEO strategy for increased traffic and revenue to site. Track, report and analyze results.
  • Management of overall internal site search keywords establishing standards to reduce no search results and creation of additional website synonyms and redirects
  • Oversee development and implementation of multi-variate testing strategy on site to drive improvements in site conversion and inform UX and site design decisions. Liase with creative services and digital team to manage requirements and delivery of all website assets
  • Partner with external agencies to identify possible improvements and oversee project management and implementation of UX improvements
  • Manage development and execution of personalization and site segmentation strategy in partnership with head of ecommerce
  • Assist with managing all site-related issues from internal or external departments, assist in troubleshooting issues with product uploads and product pricing issues and assist in deactivating product as needed. Responsible for logging and monitoring tickets as needed with Salesforce and oversee Spiceworks internal ticketing system. Serve as Salesforce platform inhouse expert
  • Oversee key site projects from development to launch including but not limited to timeline development and tracking, creative asset management, agency coordination and QA process
  • Assist in coding of emails as needed
  • Oversee and track ecommerce budget, ensure that invoices are entered in timely mannner and that monthly expenses are on track
  • Effectively communicates and escalates potential issues with recommended solutions and risk management to leadership

Qualifications:

Associate Manager of Email & Digital Content

We are currently seeking a dynamic, fun and creative Associate Manager of email to partner with and support the Ecommerce Marketing Manager in developing profitable, engaging and brand relevant email campaigns. The associate manager will help coordinate digital content across web and site to drive sales and traffic.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure email messages are properly constructed and adhere to industry best practices
  • Write copy for email campaigns and web based content (subject lines, body text, calls to action, landing pages,)
  • Oversee email production process and creation of every email, ensuring flawless execution
  • Create, maintain and communicate email marketing calendar on a regular cadence
  • Coordinate and maintain site content calendar
  • Optimize emails for deliverability, open rates, conversion rates, mobile rendering, etc while maintaining email testing calendar
  • Evaluate email performance on a weekly, monthly and adhoc basis including but not limited to the impact of campaign, subject lines, segmentation performance, click-thru rates and revenue generation and provide executable recommendations to digital marketing leadership to improve email performance
  • Access competitive landscape by examining email strategies of key competitors and the overall industry to understand emerging trends
  • Work directly with digital marketing leaders to ensure email & site content is reaching business objectives
  • Assist in digital marketing reporting
  • Coordinate & request all digital marketing assets between multiple departments
  • Deploy and test emails, monitor deliverability issues & log any bugs within the email program.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and brand consistency in digital marketing assets especially within email marketing program.
  • Lead email subject line testing & coordinate other email testing to improve email marketing program engagement

Ecommerce Production Assistant

We are currently seeking an Ecommerce Production Assistant to assist us with production of website content (building and launching product pages as well as category pages and site merchandising). The successful candidate will have a general understanding about merchandising, a strong command of the English language, will show an initiative to learn, and will be detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Content and Merchandising
  • Write concise, brand appropriate product names and descriptions following standard SEO best-practices for copywriting
  • Assist in execution of site merchandising to drive increased ecommerce sales and support marketing strategies. Ensure that all products are correctly categorized across site. Assist in building unique categories for emails and digital marketing. Leverage cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive increased UPT and AOV
  • Proactively review site content for issues and inconsistencies (typos, broken images, merchandising issues, etc.), ensuring accuracy of all web content (meta tags, page headers, etc.)
  • Reference third party brands to assist in creating accurate production descriptions
  • Be aware of fashion terminology and current trends for optimal product naming and merchandising suggestions
  • Production Process
  • Independently manage the product upload process/flow from the time of handoff to the time of product page completion
  • Review and update tracking documents to ensure all products are live ahead of expected arrival dates and respond quickly to exceptions and immediate arrivals to ensure that products are live as soon as inventory is available
  • Coordinate online production workflow with the Photo Studio and Creative teams and partner with various teams to enable production related site marketing enhancements and projects such as digital lookbooks
  • Stage, track, and assign pre-orderable allocation to marketing products
  • Assist in reactivating and deactivating products as needed
  • Suggest ongoing process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in ecommerce or merchandising preferred
  • Experience in Demandware/Salesforce web platform a plus
  • Technologically savvy with an ability to navigate web platform to input and customize data and product and learn new software and web tools quickly

Merchandise Planner

We are actively seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive revenue and margin through strategic seasonal merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, actionable reporting and insightful analysis focused on the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, in partnership with Merchandising, six-month Seasonal Merchandise Plans
  • Partner with Merchandising and Allocation to manage the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process through the development of sales, margin, receipt and inventory forecasts, supporting these forecasts with unit projections, and reporting unit performance and forecasts and receipt issues during the MBR meetings
  • Manage the receipts and inventory against targeted weeks of supply objectives and partner with Merchants to recommend actions that drive sales and maximize gross margin by ensuring best receipt flow
  • Partner with Merchandising to develop an assortment to maximize sales and margin for each buy period, ensuring the appropriate costs, retails and number of customer choices to achieve each period’s targets
  • Develop and manage markdown, promotional and exit strategies for seasonal programs
  • Conduct periodic reviews with Allocation to ensure that buy quantities and stock levels meet current sales trends
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly hindsight recaps (department, style, size range) and present at monthly meeting and apply lessons learned toward framework for future deliveries and reaction to current business trends.
  • Develop Weekly Unit Plans for major programs and Key Items to determine sales goals

South Moon Under is currently seeking a Women's Associate Buyer or Buyer to join our creative, dedicated, inspiring team. Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement merchandise strategies that support company objectives
  • Build assortments which maintain departmental goals and meet target customer needs
  • Partner with a planner to assign product valuations based upon historical data, current trend and future events
  • Work together with a planner on forecasting the business financials
  • Collaborate with product development and design teams on assortment needs
  • Work in concert with visual and marketing to insure that the original vision /intent for product is communicated and executed

Sales Associate

At South Moon Under, members of the team create an exciting and inspiring shopping experience for our customers. We utilize product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service to our customers. In addition, we build sales and provide a store experience that reflects South Moon Under's customer service standards and aesthetic. In addition to selling, our sales associates are expected to execute merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns, and transfers. All members of our store team work together to ensure a clean, pleasant and safe shopping environment for our customers.
