Store Manager *New Store Opening*

We are currently seeking a Store Manager for our new location in the North Hills District in Raleigh, North Carolina , due to open in March of 2018!

The Store Manager is responsible for overall store management including driving sales, bottom-line profits, customer service standards, and building a strong management team. This is a multi-faceted position, which will give you the opportunity to use a variety of skills – from people management to management of operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service while remaining in line with South Moon Under’s sales philosophy at all times
  • Inspire and encourage store team through a strong store presence and consistently leading by example on floor
  • Coach and develop staff to provide an outstanding level of customer service that will exceed individual and store goals
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of positive employee relations through building, developing and leading a quality store team
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of all store positions
  • Achieve all financial and operation objectives
  • Manage all aspects of daily store operational controls
  • Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and restock of store
  • Uphold all company Policy and Procedures

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: 2-3 years specialty store management experience including: sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control and loss prevention

Assistant Store Managers needed for *New Store Opening*

We are actively seeking Full -Time and Part-Time Assistant Store Managers for our new location in the North Hills District of Raleigh, NC due to open in March of 2018!

Assistant Managers are expected to manage and lead the store staff to ensure they are able to do their best, our customers receive the highest level of service and the business is successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example exemplifying the company's mission, vision and values
  • Partner with store manager to meet and exceed financial and operational goals
  • Develop strong client base
  • Work closely with store staff to provide product knowledge, drive sales, and uphold operational standards

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs that can include daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Manager preferred

Accounting Manager

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee all day-to-day accounting activities. In this role you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. Accounting activities include month-end closing responsibilities, financial reporting, cash management and departmental process improvements. The Accounting Manager will supervise 2-3 employees in sales audit and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Perform the monthly financial statement close process including analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Create and review monthly accounting entries including month end accruals and ensure that financial transactions are correctly posted to the General Ledger.
  • Generate monthly financial statements and analyze and explain monthly revenue and expenditure variances.
  • Partner with the CFO and Accounts Payable regarding cash management and vendor payments.
  • Maintain fixed assets ledger.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
  • Improve finance department processes and procedures.
  • Interact with external auditors and external tax advisors.
  • Supervise accounting staff and participate in their annual goal setting and performance reviews
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or a related field, CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 4 - 5 years’ experience in Accounting, retail experience preferred

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Epicor Financial Suite and FRX Experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Technical Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst that has a strong application development and business analysis skills. In this role, you will be working with the internal departments directly (i.e. Marketing, Planning, Allocation) to elicit requirements, as well as configuring and testing the solution to ensure quality. You will perform technical development and business analysis tasks to maintain current and new systems at South Moon Under to support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Write high quality source code to program complete applications according to specifications and within deadlines
  • Design prototypes according to specifications
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
  • Provide production support
  • Business analysis, requirements gathering, documenting and validating requirements for application and database solutions
  • Communicate workflows through diagrams (e.g. create process flow diagrams, integration diagrams, current & future state diagrams, etc.)
  • Communicate solution and requirements to internal teams
  • Understand business requirements and how they translate in application features
  • Collaborate with IT team members to set specifications for new applications

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skillset:

  • Is a self-starter that thrives in a fast-moving environment, with a passion for solving business problems using cutting-edge solutions such as AWS Cloud solutions, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Has excellent knowledge of at least one programming language (i.e. Java, C#, C++) and strong SQL development experience
  • Has the ability to design and code functional programs and applications as well as a business analysis skillset to understand a business problem and break it down into resolvable pieces

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related experience

Experience: 4 – 6 years’ experience as an Application Developer or Sr. Systems Analyst in a results driven retail environment

  • Experience in designing and building applications
  • Ability to program in at least one programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc.
  • Experience in database development (i.e. SQL Server, Oracle) required
  • Experience in BI Reporting preferred
  • Knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools such as Unix, Windows, iOS
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
  • Experienced in analyzing and documenting business processes
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical specification for implementation or development

Fit Model/Buying Office Assistant

We are actively seeking a Fit Model/Buying Office Assistant to work in our corporate office located in Annapolis, MD. As a Fit Model at South Moon Under you will work with the buyers in Fit Sessions by trying on garments to ensure the garments fit properly. The team will depend on the Fit Model’s ability to showcase how a garment fits on the body and will ask for feedback about how the garment feels. When not fitting garments, the majority of the time will be spent providing administrative support in the buying department. As a Buying Office Assistant, you will track receipts, manage samples, run reports and provide other administrative support.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to give accurate and communicate fit information in a clear and detailed manner
  • Trying on sample clothing from vendors for fit accuracy
  • Willingness to model all types of apparel including tops, bottoms, jackets, dresses for fittings
  • Having photos taken
  • Providing verbal feedback on comfort and fit of each sample
  • Fit models must maintain their target weight and size to maintain consistent sizing
  • Provide constructive feedback on styling and proportions when necessary
  • Responsibilities during times when you are not fitting:
  • These duties will include providing administrative support to the buying team, organizing clothes, managing samples, receipt tracking, packing, data-entry and other duties as assigned.

Photographer/Videographer

We are currently seeking a dynamic Photographer who will capture all imagery needed for eCommerce products, marketing campaigns and corporate initiatives while adhering to South Moon Under brand standards. In this role, you will primarily work to photograph flats and retouch photos and on occasion, work as a videographer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Photograph flats for eComm, marketing campaigns including Lookbooks, mailers, digital books, advertising, social media and events, manage the workflow from capture, edit, and upload to server for retouching teams
  • Photograph corporate initiatives
  • Support on model Photographer
  • Shoot, produce and edit short promotional videos
  • Understand and incorporate storytelling and related narrative techniques to effectively and creatively convey South Moon Under’s message in print and video campaigns
  • Website review to ensure all imagery meets the aesthetic and standard of South Moon Under Creative Direction
  • Archive all work in a clear and organized program
  • Support Graphic Design team
  • Retouch images including on model and flat product, all images used in email campaigns, Look books, web assets, etc.
  • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Photography preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years working with flats photography in a fashion studio with the ability to create and adjust lighting and manage the day to day demands of a fast paced photo studio
  • 1-2 years’ experience with digital retouching and editing
  • 1-2 years’ experience shooting and producing short videos

Skills:

  • Proficient with professional digital cameras, strobe lighting and location natural and strobe light
  • Proficient with video equipment and editing software
  • Proficient with Photoshop, Capture One and Microsoft office
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands:

This role requires bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, standing, and on occasion, may require you to climb a ladder. You must be able to lift and carry photography and videography equipment. You must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

We utilize product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service to our customers. In addition, we build sales and provide a store experience that reflects South Moon Under's customer service standards and aesthetic. In addition to selling, our sales associates are expected to execute merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns, and transfers. All members of our store team work together to ensure a clean, pleasant and safe shopping environment for our customers.

The South Moon Under 1st and 2nd Assistants possesses strong leadership skills. They work closely with the sales staff to deliver product knowledge, drive sales and uphold operational standards. They have excellent communication skills and a full understanding of how to motivate people.
