South Moon Under operates eleven stores in the mid-Atlantic area, in addition to an eCommerce site.
The successful Manager will have at least one year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment. At South Moon Under, members of the management team serve as leaders in their store, coaching and developing the staff to provide an outstanding level of customer service that will, in turn, maximize sales and profits. All of our Managers must have a complete understanding of the South Moon Under philosophy, aesthetic and customer.
The South Moon Under Manager possesses strong leadership skills. They work closely with the sales staff to deliver product knowledge, drive sales and uphold operational standards. They have excellent communication skills and a full understanding of how to motivate people.
Successful candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs that includes daytime, evening, weekends and holiday shifts.

South Moon Under is currently looking for Internet Models based at our Home Office in Berlin, MD. We are looking for candidates who will be able to model garments for our Internet website. General function is to try on and model clothing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend fittings promptly and for the entire duration.
• Provide useful feedback on garment fit, feel and construction
• Wear all garments upon request. Must be willing to fit swim - denim
• Maintain pre-determined South Moon Under model size measurements

South Moon Under is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our existing team. The team is responsible for selecting and managing the buying process for a growing fashion retailer with 11 locations and a plan to grow. This position is located in Berlin, MD, on the Eastern Shore. The buyer travels extensively and frequently to NYC and other markets to select the best products for the South Moon Under customer. In addition, our Buyers educate the store staff about the product, work with the merchandisers, the marketing department, and participates in general corporate decisions.
Qualifications
• 2 or more years retail buying experience in the fashion apparel, accessories and home accessory industry.
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Excellent sense of style, color & design with an eye for selecting in a quick and decisive manner the best from a vast assortment of products. Able to assimilate numerous variables into decision-making
• Drives profitable performance through gross margin, revenue, imu, turn and stock to sales and manages disciplined OTB utilizing OTB software.
• Strong math & analytical skill
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong forecasting skills with ability to use experience, perception, knowledge and facts to predict future trends.
• High energy & highly organized
• Strong communication skills, both written & oral, to develop and maintain key relationships with co-workers and vendors
• Highly flexible and able to embrace the rapidly changing culture of fashion with the ability to work under pressure
