Originating as a small surf shop in 1968, South Moon Under has evolved into a unique, upscale fashion retailer. We seek to offer an eclectic mix of interesting, high quality, reasonably priced products that stand out in the market. South Moon Under currently operates 19 stores in the mid-Atlantic area, VA, MD, PA, DE, NJ and NY in addition to an E-commerce site. Our home base is located in Berlin, MD on the beautiful Eastern Shore.

Career Opportunity: 1st and 2nd Assistants
Status: Full-Time and Part-Time Employee
Location: All store locations
At South Moon Under, members of the management team serve as leaders in their store, coaching and developing the staff to provide an outstanding level of customer service that will, in turn, maximize sales and profits. All of our Assistant Managers must have a complete understanding of the South Moon Under philosophy, aesthetic and customer.
The South Moon Under 1st and 2nd Assistants possesses strong leadership skills. They work closely with the sales staff to deliver product knowledge, drive sales and uphold operational standards. They have excellent communication skills and a full understanding of how to motivate people.
Successful candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs that include daytime, evening, weekends and holiday shifts, as well as having at least one year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment. We utilize product knowledge and selection to provide exceptional service to our customers. In addition to selling, our sales associates are expected to execute merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns, and transfers.
